Two-Player Nuzlocke Challenge:
Rules:
Clauses/Exceptions to the Main Rules:
Rules:
- A roll of a dice determines key aspects in the game such as starter pokemon selection (for XY, gen6 starters vs gen1 starters) In games where two starters are not introduced, the starter pokemon of the other player will be an exception to the first encounter rule and from that will be wonder traded for their first pokemon (which mustn't be a legendary) If wonder trade is not available in the game, the caught pokemon will be their first.
- If a pokemon faints you must box the pokemon and may not use it for 1 day of gameplay. After 1 day, you can continue to have the pokemon in the PC or return it to your party. You must return to the pokemon center it was boxed in however. If a pokemon faints a total of 5 times, it is considered dead and must be boxed permanently or released. If a pokemon faints and is not boxed within 15 minutes of the time it fainted, it is considered dead and must be permanently boxed or released.
- You may catch only one pokemon in each area. When a pokemon is encountered, the player chosen to face the pokemon is determined by dice roll.
- You may not heal pokemon during a battle unless it is via moveset or held item. You may not use Revives in or out of battle and must use a pokemon center or in-game interaction recovery method (such as rival heals or healing via NPCs/ your mother)
- If only one player is playing at a given time, they may not use their partners pokemon and must place them into the PC for the time being. They are still limited to only 3 held pokemon.
- If [a] player[s] blacks-out, the fainted pokemon are considered dead and must be permanently boxed or released.
- Must nickname all pokemon caught/received in the game.
- Pokemon battles determine the player by roll of the dice. The other player is not allowed to switch in unless the first player has all pokemon fainted.
- Ban on the use of legendary pokemon.
- Ban on the use of Exp. Share in ORAS and XY, but not on Exp items that increase given experience or only share to a single pokemon.
Clauses/Exceptions to the Main Rules:
- Dice roll does not have to occur if the players can both come to an agreement about a given decision.
- Catching rule doesn't apply for duplicates, shinies, or gift pokemon.
- Revival rules do not apply until after you receive your pokedex and pokeballs.
- Pokemon battle switch rule doesn't apply if moves that forcefully switch your pokemon are used (including but not limiting to...volt tackle...etc.)
- If a particular pokemon is needed for HM reasons, they may be used for such. However they may not be used for anything else. This is only to help with story progression so the player is not stuck in a location.
